Jeffrey Matton
President

Jeffrey A. Matton was named president of MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital on January 1, 2010. He joined MedStar Good Samaritan in 2006 as senior vice president and chief operating officer. Prior to coming to the hospital, Matton served as vice president for professional services at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Previously, he was executive director and assistant vice president at Washington Heart at MedStar Washington Hospital Center.
Matton has extensive senior management experience, including strategic expansion of specialty services, implementation of significant capital projects, quality and service performance improvement initiatives, and creating physician partnerships and developing clinical programs.
He has a master of health administration degree from the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University and a bachelor of business administration degree from The College of William and Mary. In addition, Matton received a certificate of executive leadership from Georgetown University Center for Professional Development and is an associate member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
