Moira Larsen, M.D.
Department of Pathology
Moira P. Larsen, M.D., was named chair of the department of pathology at MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital in 2009. Dr. Larsen has been at MedStar Good Samaritan since 1991 and was named associate chair of pathology in 2007. In her new role, Dr. Larsen will continue to work with the leadership and staff of the laboratory and the hospital administration to keep the Good Samaritan Laboratory and Pathology Department at the forefront of quality and excellence.
Dr. Larsen received her medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1986, where she also trained in pathology, serving as chief resident and clinical fellow in 1990. She received her master of business administration in medical services management from the Johns Hopkins University School of Professional Studies in Business and Education in 2005, where she was named "Student of the Year" for her excellence and enthusiasm.
Dr. Larsen is faculty director of MedStar Good Samaritan's CME program and also leads the Literature and Medicine program at MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital.
