Baltimore—(September 6, 2013)—MedStar Health has named Dana Frank, MD, FACP, as chairman of the integrated departments of Medicine at MedStar Good Samaritan and MedStar Union Memorial hospitals. Dr. Frank has more than 31 years’ experience as an internal medicine physician. He earned his medical degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and completed both his internship and residency in medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Kaiser Foundation. In addition, Dr. Frank completed a fellowship in general internal medicine at the Johns Hopkins University. He is committed to working collaboratively with MedStar and community physicians to build sustainable health care programs that meet the needs of our shared community.
Dr. Frank has served as the chairman of Medicine at MedStar Good Samaritan for the past four years. He has now assumed leadership at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital, thereby serving in this role for both institutions. With Dr. Frank’s vision and strategic leadership in his role at MedStar Good Samaritan, he now brings his energy to benefit both institutions to support strategic growth, quality initiatives and education in partnership with the existing medical staffs. His appointment represents the strengthening partnership between both two entities and is a key part of MedStar Good Samaritan’s and MedStar Union Memorial’s future.
