Based in Catholic tradition, MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital provides compassionate, high-quality health care and services to the communities of northeast Baltimore. Since being founded in 1968 through a gift from philanthropist and merchant Thomas J. O’Neill, MedStar Good Samaritan has been an adult care community teaching hospital, and it currently contains 165 acute care beds, 51 rehab beds and 30 subacute beds. Long known as a specialty center for rehabilitation and orthopedics, our community services include cancer care, diabetes care, geriatrics, renal dialysis, vascular care and wound healing.
