Visitor Information

ALERT: Visitor restrictions and guidance during COVID-19: MedStar Health has implemented a three-tier Visitor and Patient Support Persons Policy that allows for adjustments based on the number of COVID-19 cases in the community, according to state and county public health data. MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital currently has green tier visitor restrictions in place.

Dining

Belvedere Bistro (ground floor) Serving breakfast and lunch.
Monday- Friday: 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (limited menu on weekends)

Canteen (first floor, near the Courtyard Coffeehouse) Refreshment vending.
Open daily: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Courtyard Coffeehouse (located off of the main lobby) Serving pastries, breakfast items, and light refreshments.
Open daily: 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Gift Shop

The Gift Shop, located in the main lobby, has toiletries for patients, gifts, cards, snacks and reading materials. The Gift Shop is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. and Sunday 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. All proceeds are donated to MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital.

Visiting Hours

General visiting hours are 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily. Exceptions may apply for special circumstances. For more information, visit the Visiting Hours page.

  • As of March 2017, visitors will be asked to provide a driver’s license or state issued ID that will be scanned into our new visitor system, and a photo of the visitor will be taken. A visitor pass with an expiration date will be printed and provided to the visitor. Once a visitor’s information and photo is in the system, he or she will not have to repeatedly provide ID or have a photo taken. For future visits, the visitor’s name will be recognized and the pass issued. If you have any questions, please contact Security at 443-444-4300.
