As part of the Outpatient Rehabilitation department, the Outpatient Center for Orthopaedic Rehab (OCOR) team combines expert knowledge in orthopaedics and sports medicine with physical and occupational therapy while providing compassionate care to our patients. Our focus is always on achieving the best outcomes for a patient's goals while maximizing their independence and mobility. Our team works closely with physicians to offer the best in comprehensive care.
Each therapist in our team is a specialist in their respective area. We have team members with advanced certifications and training, specialized education, and thorough knowledge of a variety of orthopaedic conditions. We work to ensure that patients see the same therapist consistently during treatment to offer the most coordinated care possible. In addition, our team works closely with one another along with the physician to ensure complete care of each patient. Finally, our therapists participate in programs concurrently with the The Spine Center and the JointExperience and SpineExperience programs at MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital, creating an all-inclusive rehabilitation resource for every patient.
Our therapy gym offers a full line of equipment that is designed to help you meet your treatment goals and achieve the mobility you desire. Our specialized rehab equipment includes such as the patterned electrical nerve stimulation (PENS) therapy system, Dartfish Motion Analysis system and the Game Ready therapy system.
